For day two of its Team Fortress 2 'Uber Update' reveal, Valve has thoroughly researched the dangerous desert wasteland to pluck out a pair of authentic updates for two of TF2's characters. Today's Valve blog update introduces "Timbuk Tuesday," and showcases new gear for the Sniper and Demoman classes in Team Fortress 2.

The Sniper will receive a new rifle called 'The Bazaar Bargain,' which gives "+10 charge per second" for each consecutive headshot; and 'The Shahanshah' sword, which adds +25% in damage when player health is less than 50% of max and -25% when health is above 50% of max.

The Demoman earns a shield known as 'The Splendid Screen' that adds damage resistance bonuses to fire and explosive damage; 'The Persian Persuader' sword, which turns all collected ammo into health pick-ups; and 'Ali Baba's Wee Booties' shoes, that increases max health among and turning control while charging.

The 'Uber Update' is set to launch on Thursday. Yesterday, Valve revealed Mobster-inspired updates for the Heavy and Spy classes. Full details on the new additions are available on the official Team Fortress 2 blog.

The ammo to health conversion sounds enormously unbalanced.

-25% health is a lot, but it's still not that bad compared to the perks

Not necessarily. If the Demo equips all of these items, they have no grenade launcher or sticky launcher. This set leaves Demos completely at the mercy of sentries.

the balance here is against the other swords and the sticky launcher. maybe the boots take a different slot than the grenade launcher?

Do the shoes take the place of the grenade launcher? This is the first shoes in the game other than the essential accessories for the scout which is a misc item so I dunno he may still get the g-launcher.

If you click on the bag next to the demoman's shield you can see the new items for the scout.

I'm always complaining about the timing of some FAN Scouts, but I'd rather have that than a Scout that pops me with mini-crits repeatedly.

maybe it goes downward, so the scout can triangle jump

Sweet. Triple jump is cool, although I'm glad it looks like it takes off 10% hp each time.

I interpreted that as goomba stomp damage, since it's in blue.

Oh, you are probably right then. I thought they added it to limit the amount of scouts that simply jump all over the place as well as being able to reach certain areas.

I wonder if the winger will be any good, usually I use the pistol to finish a dude off after shooting with a shotgun

It sounds pretty garbage to me - so I can shoot 5 shots that do the damage of 6 shots. That's not very impressive compared to being able to fire 12 shots.

I guess it's more for Scouts that need to deal more immediate damage, like when dealing with a runaway Spy or a Pyro that's trying to chase them.
