"Ghosts, form up on me." Ubisoft has just dropped mission details on the upcoming beta for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier.
"We know you have been asking about the beta," the official Twitter account for the franchise noted earlier today, "We're excited to announce that the MP beta will be launching in January 2012."
The beta had previously been planned to launch this summer; however, with the game recently delayed into the publisher's 2012 calendar, the beta was pushed off the summer release schedule.
It's unclear how Ubisoft will distribute beta keys. The beta was originally slated to arrive as an Xbox 360 exclusive for Splinter Cell: Conviction owners. Since Conviction has been on store shelves since August 2010, we presume Ubisoft will release the beta using additional distribution channels.
Shacknews has contacted Ubisoft for comment on the beta's distribution, but have yet to hear back at the time of publishing. For more on Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, make sure to read our E3 2011 preview.

That's just the beta. The game was pushed to Q4 of 2012 after they showed it at E3.
