Dyad coming to PSN, aiming for fall release
Dyad, a racing game with shooter and puzzle mechanics, is coming to the PlayStation Network and is aiming for a fall release.
Sony highlighted the upcoming PlayStation Network game Dyad today. Dubbed an "abstract racing game," Dyad mixes in some elements from puzzle games, fighting games, and arcade shooters. Creator Shawn McGrath says he was inspired by the WipeOut series, but aimed to replace racing along a line with combos that reward hitting the correct enemy polarity.
From a technical standpoint, Dyad is looking to impress with 1080p output and 60 frames-per-second. Finally, the plot hints at similarities to the journey of a particle in the Large Hadron Collider -- so make of that what you will.
Responding to an inquiry from Shacknews, McGrath said he's targeting a fall release for the game, and it isn't designed to make use of the PlayStation Move. Check out the trailer below.
