The first trailer for the Xbox Live Arcade edition of Mossmouth's much-loved PC indie platformer Spelunky has arrived, complete with a peek at its shiny new multiplayer modes.

Spelunky, if you haven't played it yet, is a delightful platformer with randomised levels and a fine balance of difficulty and pleasure. The XBLA version boasts lovely new hand-painted textures, leaderboards, and offline co-op and deathmatch multiplayer modes for up to four players.

The price and release date for Spelunky's Xbox Live Arcade outing have yet to be announced, but you can still download and play the original Windows version for free.

This game is great but the new music is atrocious!

The sax feels like im watching the opening to Benson or some early 80s sitcom, but not in a good way, in a 'home from school, all the cartoons are over and i don't want to do homework yet, but THIS is on and now im despressed..' way

I want to know what drunken decision resulted in replacing the original (and wildly catchy) music with this tripe. That is... really, really bad music.
