Robin playable in Batman: Arkham City via Best Buy [Update]

Batman: Arkham City looks to be getting Robin as a playable character in Challenge Maps, at least as a pre-order bonus from Best Buy.

Batman: Arkham City may be getting a visit from the Boy Wonder, if an apparent leak from retailer Best Buy is to be believed. Fan site Arkhamcity.co.uk noticed the site was offering the ability to play as Robin in two Challenge Maps as a pre-order bonus. The page was quickly pulled. The Best Buy leak alone isn't much to go on, but the official Twitter account for the game all but confirmed the news with a follow-up tweet. It read, "For those of you with burning questions about the recent Robin/Best Buy announcement stay tuned as we will be revealing more details soon!" So it sounds like Robin is likely playable in Challenge Map form, not unlike Joker in Batman: Arkham Asylum. We'll just have to see how this gritty take on the Dark Knight deals with Robin's trademark bright red and yellow spandex. The game is due out later this year. Check out our E3 preview for more details. [Update] Best Buy's website currently lists the offer. This week's print ad also makes mention of the deal.

This is no longer a rumor. It was in yesterday's (Sunday, June 12) newspaper ad. Go to page 12 in the following link from the ad: http://bestbuy.shoplocal.com/bestbuy/default.aspx?action=entryflash&adref=header

These are the kinds of preorder bonuses I can get behind. The challange rooms are still there, they are just giving you a new a new way to play them. Much better than removing whole parts of the game and making them available to just pre-orders. Besides, when given the choice, who ever said "I wanna be Robin" when they were a kid?

Is there anyway to enable Joker/Robin via hacks or is it completely different version of the game?
