New Zelda teased for Wii U
by Alice O'Connor, Jun 07, 2011 10:45am PDTDuring the grand unveiling of Nintendo's new Wii U console at E3 today, a little snippet of an attractive new Legend of Zelda game snuck into a video demonstrating the touch-screen controller.
The short scene showed series hero Link battling a giant spider in a huge ornate hall. It was big, and Link hit it with a sword; the roaring monstrosity seemed displeased at being struck. The screen on the Wii U's controller served as an inventory display, listing Link's health and items.
Cruel as it is, Nintendo revealed nothing of the game beyond these few fleeting glimpses. While it might simply be a tech demo, hopefully it's not. Fingers crossed for more news in the run-up to the Wii U's 2012 launch.
