The Amazing Spider-Man and his 2099 counterpart join forces in the E3 trailer for Spider-Man: Edge of Time, giving a pleasing peek at how Peter Paker and Miguel O'Hara intend to save each other's lives across time with strategic deployment of face-punches.

With a plot from Spider-veteran Peter David, Edge of Time promises "narratively-driven 'cause-and-effect' moments, uniquely utilizing 'picture-in-picture' moments where the actions of one Spider-Man have immediate effects on the other Spider-Man and his surroundings." Great power does come with great responsibility, after all.

Spider-Man: Edge of Time is headed to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Nintendo DS and 3DS this fall. Publisher Activision's go-to Spidey-men at Beenox are developing all versions except for the Nintendo DS one, which is handled by Other Ocean.

Still kinda surprised they are bringing another out so soon, as I didn't think SD sold all that well (though I still intend to play it for a good price).

Correct. Anti-Venom is actually Eddie Brock with an antibody symbiote trying to be a hero. In fact, I think he's actually teaming up with Spidey in the comics right now. Why he's a villain here, I have no clue.

Remember that this timeline is all disjointed because of the death of Peter Parker in the modern day. Its possible that in correcting things Spidey 2099 threw things out of whack.
