Mass Effect 3 Kinect support listed on EA Store

Mass Effect 3 is "better with Kinect sensor." At least, according to a pulled image from the EA Store.

Will Mass Effect 3 use Kinect's futuristic motion-sensing technology? Box art placed on the EA Store shows a "Better with Kinect" banner above Shepard's intimidating visage. The image has been subsequently removed from the Store, but not before NeoGAF could save it. While this would be a relatively easy Photoshop prank for an internet prankster to pull off, Destructoid notes that the image still lives on EA's servers.

EA has yet to confirm or deny Kinect support for Mass Effect 3. However, this isn't the first time the EA Store has accidentally leaked information about the finale of BioWare's space opera. The first details of the game were described by the Store well before its official VGA debut.

Given Mass Effect 3's button-heavy gameplay, it's likely that any Kinect support the game features (if any) will be minimal. Perhaps you'll be able to navigate the map using hand gestures? Or maybe the Xbox version will include a special Kinect-exclusive mini-game: Elcor Dance Dance Revolution.

SKY IS FALLING. Obviously it will still be playable with a regular controller. But I dunno navigating around the galaxy map with Kinect could be kinda cool.

Enjoy the cheaper cost of the game, and relish in the fact that the keyboard/mouse controls are better than those offered by a gamepad.

seems a bit early to get upset about it considering we have no details and its pretty safe to assume that they wont be any major features.

PC Gamers get to play it the usual way. The kinect is added feature for 360 players, like 3D would be on the PS 3 for some games.

It seems really good for an RPG. If you think about it a controller with triggers is better for things like shooting. But controllers that shoot well don't do much good for interacting with a world or other people and characters. You need some other type of input device to do some new cool stuff. In an RPG if you lie to someone your facial expression could play a part in convincing this other character instead of just using a dpad or keyboard to pick from a list.

Could be amusing. If they were trying to get ME3 out this Christmas, I'd be annoyed, but since they're taking more time with it, I say we collectively humor them. not that it's our choice anyway. MS probably threw a money hat at them to do it

Wow I'm surprised at the hate here, the kinect support will almost definitely be optional and who knows BioWare has some smart people working for it so we might just see some crazy unexpected innovations maybe another unique new conversation system... Anyway it’s just going to be an addition so no big deal really (though I would like to play through the game in kinect mode just for a laugh!).
