Dirt 3 has gotten its first bit of downloadable content, and in honor of the series' former namesake, proceeds will be going to charity. The Colin McRae Vision Charity Pack is available on Games for Windows and Xbox Live Marketplace for $2 (160 MSP). The announcement didn't mention a planned PlayStation Network release.

The pack includes a Ford Escort Mk II, a 1970s model made famous by Colin McRae himself, and five liveries. All proceeds from the pack will go towards the Colin McRae Vision Charity, a foundation established in 2008 to provide education and recreational facilities for children, particularly those interested in motorsports. McRae died in a helicopter accident in 2007.

Codemasters also announced it will be releasing weekly DLC packs with new cars and tracks. Those upcoming packs weren't mentioned as charity packs, so they'll probably be more standard revenue models for the developer.

I'll take point to point any day over circuits. I've got Grid and Shift 2 for that.

Mud and dirt circuits cannot be found in either of those games, though. Nor trucks. You can leave the buggies and tarmac tracks behind, though.

Weekly DLC seriously? I am getting sick of this crap honestly. CDProjekt Free DLC for life; BRINK offering free DLC soon; can you developers guess were my hard earned cash goes? I'll play out Dirt3 as is and you can keep your overpriced crap that should have been in game to begin with especially when you carry on about weekly DLC. I don't have an issue with the charity DLC but the weekly crap just did it.,

Not hyping Brink just stating they are on the right track with free DLC. The game is mediocre for me but doesn't mean others don't enjoy it but this is not all about brink so I'll end it here.

I was under the impression that Brink only has one free dlc, as in kind of a "forgive us" type thing.........CDPR will most likely just give out small dlc leading up to the next expansion (which i have no issue with)

This game was terrible. To make a login you have to type everything in through GFWL which is just the dumbest thing I have ever seen. When I created my first login I didn't feel like trying to I chose easy, well fck me for doing that. Easy is like retard easy so I decided to play hard, but no. You have to make a whole new account to select the difficulty.
