There are some "behind-the-scenes" videos that delve deep into the process of making a game a development team is proud to call their own, then there's this.

Ubisoft has just released a "Road to E3" video for its upcoming title Assassin's Creed Revelations, which features nothing but a few lofty promises. "Game of the show!" a number of people in the office holler, setting a goal for next week's big industry event.

What is fun about the video is everyone's genuine excitement for the game, promising Assassin's Creed Revelations will blow people away when it is shown off at E3 2011. Also, as a team dedicated to making a new entry in the master assassin series, it's filled with employees that are far too comfortable making death threats.

Assassin's Creed Revelations is scheduled to arrive this November for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. E3 2011 kicks off on June 6 with Microsoft's pre-show media briefing.

I dunno, I just don't feel 'it' with this new game, I mean I really liked ASS2, played it to death, then I played RDR before I tried playing ASSBRO, and ugh, the engine in the Assassins Creed games just puts me off, it feels so clunky and unresponsive. Jumping in random directions (still !!!), forced camera angle (awful) in some parts etc. the horse mechanics is godawful, the crowd mechanics feels just stupid unnatural and only there to be of hindrance to you, in assbro not enough badass running over rooftops, the architecture was made to force you down to the street levels, and thats where it fell apart.
I just felt it fell way short of the mark, they didn't really improve anything from ASS2.
Maybe I'm wrong, maybe they'll actually make the *gameplay* (responsiveness and being in control of your avatar) better this time.

I am actually fine with forced camera angles (at least I tolerate them), they are better than putting a camera behind a wall. But I guess gaming folks could still learn more from the Hollywood on this one.

But I agree, something is getting wrong with this franchise. As much as I love it, it looks to run out of steam. They need to bring a little bit more of WOW-factor (and i don't mean the mmo) back into the game, as opposed to multiplying repetitive scenes. A little more creative innovations.

I thought I was the only one that liked ac2 better than ac2:bro. I definitely noticed the lack of rooftop running and felt overall the game had less polish than ac2 in story and gameplay. Almost like they added too much new stuff and some of the core game suffered.
