If the gap between American McGee's Alice (released in 2000) and the upcoming (eleven years later) sequel Alice: Madness Returns is daunting for you to think about, EA has just released an iOS application you may want to consider. The Alice: Madness Returns "interactive comic" tells the story between the cult-hit PC title and its multi-platform sequel. The application is available for both iPhone/iPod Touch and iPad for the maddeningly low price of free.

The iOS app's art is splendid. Check out our recent preview of Alice: Madness Returns.

Alice: Madness Returns is developed by the American McGee-helmed studio Spicy Horse out of Shanghai, China. The game is expected to launch on June 14 for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3.
