Havent seen one of these in a while, an Intel vs AMD head to head CPU comparison article on 3DAccelerated.com. It looks pretty favorable for Intel in the results.

  • This is one of the most moronic things I've ever read in a while. First, you leave out benchmarks--telling us or not--that's comparable to Anand's posting of how Rambus is "misunderstood" [read:PR bullshit] and then saying wait for part II when we give you the real lowdown. nonono it doesn't work that way. post it all or nothing. In journalism it's kind've an ethical breach. Most writers do that for the two part Knight Rider series to keep us in suspence. I really wanted to know if Kit beat Carr. Fuck dat!

    "In the preliminary Athlon tests, the Athlon fairs pretty much on par with the Pentiums. However, since the Athlon has not met the on-die cache and lacks SSE extensions, it is at a disadvantage. Part II will be coming soon!"g}

    "pleliminary"
    "on par"
    "not met on die cache"
    "lacks SSE"
    Are all misnomers in this last paragraph. Nothing tells us of a Mhz to Mhz comparison rating, or some apps that are benchmarked. Of course Athlons lack fucking SSE!!!! Other reviewers show that Athlon's at the same Mhz Athlons beat Intel chips, hands down in almost all applications, AND ARE AT LEAST 10-20% CHEAPER!!!! What, we just "take your word," that it's lower? Holy shit. Why not just wait until you have the entire review up?

    Let the viewers decide what is annoying, but leaving out vital parts and then drawing a conclusion anyway is complete lunacy...
