Duke Nukem Forever demo arrives for 'First Access Club' on June 3
by Xav de Matos, May 16, 2011 5:00pm PDT[Update] - Gearbox has confirmed the "First Access" demo will be available across all three platforms. A demo date for non-FAC members was not clarified.
[Original Story] - 2K Games and Gearbox Software have just announced that "First Access Club" members will be able to download a Duke Nukem Forever demo on June 3. "First Access" is granted by either pre-ordering Duke Nukem Forever or currently owning (and registering) the Game of the Year Edition of Borderlands.
Platforms for the demo were not specified in a new video featuring Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford. The Friday release does go against Sony's typical release schedule for PSN content; however, earlier today Sony stated it would release multiple weekly updates to its store when it comes back online to catch up to missed content.
Pitchford's announcement also neglects to mention when non-First Access members will get a chance to step into Duke's shoes. Shacknews has contacted Gearbox for clarification, but has yet to hear back by the time of publishing.
