Rumor: First L.A. Noire DLC details leak
by Steve Watts, May 16, 2011 12:45pm PDTIt should come as no surprise that L.A. Noire is planning downloadable content, and we may have our first glimpse at it thanks to a flyer from the retailer Best Buy.
Joystiq reports that an ad circular promises the first 16 customers to buy the game at the midnight openings will get an unlock code for the first DLC pack, titled the "Nicholson Electroplating Arson Case."
The ad didn't disclose a release date, or a price for those who don't snag the unlock code. This wouldn't be the first time a L.A. Noire ad leaked info before Rockstar sent out official word, though. A month ago we reported on an ad that teased PS3-exclusive content called the "Consul's Car Traffic Case."
The flyer seems legitimate, but this is a rumor until we hear official word from developer Team Bondi or the publisher, Rockstar. We've contacted Rockstar for confirmation, and we'll update as we learn more.
