Sega announces more classics for download
by Steve Watts, May 13, 2011 12:45pm PDTSega has announced it will be publishing a third round of classic games, with the Vintage Collection 3. This set is coming to PlayStation Network and Wii Virtual Console in late 2011 and early 2012, and brings back some games from the Genesis and Master System eras.
The most significant piece for retro-watchers is a newly translated version of Wonder Boy in Monster World IV, which has never been officially localized before. Other titles include Revenge of Shinobi, Wonder Boy in Monster Land, and Wonder Boy in Monster World from the Genesis, plus Alex Kidd in Miracle World and Super Hang-On from the Master System.
Previous Vintage Collections have included games like Gunstar Heroes and Comix Zone. The Vintage Collection 2 came to Xbox 360 as well, but this particular set seems destined only for PS3 and Wii.
