Bit.Trip Saga grooving onto 3DS
by Alice O'Connor, May 03, 2011 7:00am PDTThe six games of Gaijin's delightful BIT.TRIP chiptune rhythm series are making a move from Wii to the Nintendo 3DS, publisher Aksys Games has announced.
BIT.TRIP SAGA will include BIT.TRIP BEAT, BIT.TRIP CORE, BIT.TRIP VOID, BIT.TRIP RUNNER, BIT.TRIP FATE, BIT.TRIP FLUX, the full six games originally released on WiiWare. Several of the titles also later received releases on PC and iThings. As one might expect, they'll have swish 3D graphics for the handheld.
The BIT.TRIP series has variously manifested as a Pong-like paddle game, a scrolling, a platformer, and more, but always based upon timing hero CommanderVideo's moves to the chiptune beat.
Aksys did not indicate when BIT.TRIP SAGA's Nintendo 3DS launch will be.
