Despite a lukewarm critical reception, developer Silicon Knights is keen on completing the planned Too Human trilogy. "We intend to finish the trilogy but no comment beyond that..." Silicon Knights boss Denis Dyack told Industry Gamers.

Released on August 19, 2008, Too Human ended the month of August with sales under the 200,000 unit mark. According to the NPD Group, Too Human achieved sales of 168,200 units during its release month. Too Human was the eighth best-selling title of the month.

Dyack added to his vague statement regarding the franchise's fate. "You know, there's very public litigation around that," he said, referring to the ongoing battle between Silicon Knights and Epic Games. Silicon Knights claims it was forced to rebuild the game's engine due to Epic licencing the Canadian developer 'less than complete' code for Epic's Unreal Engine 3.

The case between Silicon Knights and Epic Games has been given the nod to go in front of a federal jury, though some claims in the case were dismissed by court. After the trail was pushed to a federal jury, a statement from Epic Games noted that the company "remains confident that it will be fully vindicated at trial."

Probably the most underrated game on the 360. I think I've logged more hours between solo and coop for the never dropping elite armor sets than any other game this generation of consoles. Still waiting on that loot drop % increase patch. Over 120 hours in one character and not a single end game set piece. Lol.

I may be one of the few willing to admit it, but I thought Too Human was a ton of fun, and is nearly one of my favorite 360 games. If only it didn't have that cliffhanger ending! Nice to know it may return once the suit clears up. I wish they would just shake hands and move on. I think it is obvious that Epic will owe SK a little bit of cash, but that SK will never get away with stealing code like they did.

I enjoyed it, but it was a pretty flawed, unbalanced experience. If Silicon Knights can prove that they learned from their mistakes and produce a superior sequel, then I might be on board.

Otherwise....too many other games, cya Dyack.

I'm also one of the few that enjoyed it despite it's flaws. Took a while until I really got a feel for it, but once I did combat clicked. I enjoyed the techno Norse setting and I really want to see how the whole thing ends.

OMG if they announce #2 at E3 I will freak out, this is very positive, awesome news(lets hope).

Love TH part 1, I have put in a lot of time in the game.

My years trolling the toohuman.net forum, bringing you every crumb and shred of info indicating they're still working on the next in the series have been vindicated!

I certainly hope the sequels are better than the first one. I really like the techno-Norse setting but the gameplay feels so tedious.

Based on what I've read, Silicon Knights (and others) have some legitimate gripes with Epic and the way Epic handled their engine support. It looks like Epic promised personnel dedicated to licensee support, but actually just gave the support to the developers working on Epic's games, and told those developers that Epic's games take priority over helping the licensees.

I couldn't grind for the whole set of red armor. Such a low drop rate.

I think I saw one red drop and it wasn't even for my class, and I did probably 20-30 runs though the 1st level that was supposed to be the "fastest" way for it.

There are a few other achievements that I didn't feel like grinding out, but overall I did enjoy the game.

oh shit son, I always figured you did some duping to get that achievement. I had everything except one piece for my main character, but i got lucky and got all the drops doing the third mission 3 times in a row.

As flat and shallow as it was, it was mildly fun to run through once with a friend. Has potential if they put some actual development time into the next one.
