Chrono Trigger rated by the ESRB for PS3, PSP
by Xav de Matos, Apr 22, 2011 10:15am PDTChrono Trigger (also known as one of the best games ever made) has been rated by the ESRB for the PS3 and PSP, Joystiq discovered earlier today.
The SNES classic role-playing game has made its way to a number of formats--in North America--since its original 1995 release: Square nearly ruined it with load-times in the Final Fantasy Chronicles collection in 2001, while Crono and his allies ventured through time on the Nintendo DS in 2008.
The ESRB listing doesn't provide any detail on the game. We presume the listing points to players getting Chrono Trigger as part of the PlayStation Network's growing crop of "PSone Classic" titles.
If the classic game [with bonus FMV sequences added in subsequent re-releases] is coming to the PSN, it might also point to the game arriving on the North American 'Virtual Console.' Chrono Trigger is planned for an April 2011 release on the Japanese Virtual Console, according to Siliconera.

Chrono Trigger, the SNES classic and arguably one of the best games ever made, has been rated for the PS3 and PSP by the ESRB. Details are scant; however, safe money is on the game arriving on the PSN as a PSone Classic.
