Reckon you can go for some real-time strategy action in the wild west, pilgrim? Did you hate reading that sentence as much as I hated writing it? Well, we're both in luck because Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive is now available at Good Old Games, meaning you can go buy it and I can stop pretending I'm writing from the Frontierland.

The Spellbound Entertainment-developed game from 2001 is available for purchase on GOG.com for $5.99. Included with the game's purchase is the standard suite of items provided by GOG: a DRM-free copy of the PC game, digital manual, wallpapers, soundtrack, and avatars.

El Paso during the late 1800s is the setting for Desperados, where a famous railroad company is the target of a series of "hold-ups and ambushes." With a $15,000 bounty for the capture of the gang responsible, players must protect the US town near the Mexican border from chaos.

This game is awesome. I'm a huge Commandos fan, and I would say this is better, because you can record moves then hit spacebar to fire them off, like throwing a knife when someone walks past.

Good news too, because it lags like hell on my current comp when checking the enemie's view cone - something to do with either quad cores, or modern GPU's not handling some 2D stuff properly.

I need to check if this one doesn't lag.
