Shadows of the Damned delayed
by Alice O'Connor, Apr 21, 2011 11:30am PDTFans of the weird and wonderful will have a little longer for Grasshopper Manufacture's Shadows of the Damned, as Joystiq reports that the "Suda51 trip" has been delayed by a fortnight.
Shadows of the Damned was previously slated to launch on June 7, the first day of E3--a fine time to have your new release overlooked in the hustle and bustle of the show. Its Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 launch will now come on June 21. This is one of those delays it's hard to grumble about.
The game is a surreal supernatural third-person shooter, sending hero Garcia Hotspur--"a man who had it all: a killer motorcyle, a sweet leather jacket, and a hot girlfriend"--into Hell to save his lady love. As one does.
Three huge names are working on the project, in the form of No More Heroes director Suda51, Resident Evil and Vanquish creator Shinji Mikami, and long-time Silent Hill series sound director Akira Yamaoka.
