Sonic Generations gameplay shown off in debut trailer
by Steve Watts, Apr 19, 2011 7:30pm PDTHot on the heels of yesterday's official announcement, Sega has released the first trailer for Sonic Generations. It shows off an area that looks quite a bit like the classic Green Hill Zone, being played in both its 2D and 3D incarnations.
The game is Sega's way of celebrating the hedgehog's 20th anniversary, by bringing the old-school "Chubby" Sonic back alongside the modern 'Jenny Craig' Sonic. The two are brought together by a time portal, which serves as the basis for revisiting classic characters and stages in both 2D and 3D. The game is due this holiday season on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
