Riding on the wave of resurfaced rumors about a forthcoming Wii HD, the subject of how the current generation may evolve more gracefully into the next become the central topic of the conversation in the Warning. This week's featured music is the track "Airplance" by Philadelphia-based Sonni Shine and the Underwater Sounds. They are a fusion rock/reggae band consisting of Sonnie Schwartzback on vocals and guitar, Sean Youngman on drums, Kenny Shumski on bass, and Billy Campion on guitar.
They have upcoming shows Asbury Park in NJ at The Saint on April 19, in Philadelphia at Silk City on April 27, and again at Asbury Park in NJ at Langosta Lounge on April 29. It moves faster than Gears of War 2, which is good, but the small environments and powerful starting weapons makes the game feel less about cover and team tactics, and more like 3rd-person quake with dive-rolling.
Hopefully the full game will adjust the weapon balance a bit and include some bigger maps.
