People only care about playing old games when they don't see enough great, new games on the new platform.
Personally, even as somebody that thought Perfect Dark Zero was pretty good, I was still way more interested in playing 2005 Xbox releases like Chaos Theory, Stranger's Wrath, Conker, Psychonauts, Jade Empire, and others than ANY Xbox 360 launch title.
As soon as Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, Fight Night 3, and Oblivion hit Xbox 360, I suddenly forgot how disappointed I was with Xbox 360's shoddy backwards compatibility.
...that said, I do like throwing FFXII and Okami into the PS3 every now and then. :D

I personally think every company should have a quota of HD remakes that they need to fulfill. Playing 4:3 games or SD games is hard on my eyes. I've been spoiled by glorious, luscious HD. :D
