Blood Bowl dev adapting board game Confrontation for PC

Cyanide Studio is making a PC adaptation of classic miniature wargame Confrontation, having previously turned Blood Bowl digital.

Having demonstrated a knack for adapting tabletop games to video games with Blood Bowl, Cyanide Studio is now turning its hand to another vintage board game, Rackham's Confrontation.

The fantasy miniature wargame will become a real-time strategy game with RPG elements. If you, like me, are unfamiliar with Confrontation, here's publisher Focus Home Interactive's explanation of the video game:

With a core focus on strategy, Confrontation challenges players to lead a squad of elite soldiers, helping them evolve into a unit that is equal parts brain and brawn. Recruit, develop and equip your squadron and the powerful allies that fight by your side; establish new strategies to destroy your enemies! Careful management of your units, their powers and equipment, as well as clever use of your environment will get you through near-death situations and lead you to epic victory!

Confrontation is scheduled for release on PC in the fourth quarter of 2011.

That is only 13 years old. I want something that exactly mimicks the table top game. With mulitplayer and a save system. I don't thin GW would ever allow it, as it might affect miniture sales.

Cool, I would watch this game, the devs have crazy ARPG/RPG skills(see Loki(over looked arpg) in my top 5 best ARPGs) this should be really good. To bad they did not announce Loki 2 as well :(
