Dead Rising 2: Off the Record brings back Frank

Capcom is bringing back Frank West, pasting the photojournalist into Dead Rising 2 in a remake titled "Off the Record."

Capcom loves Frank West, so much that the photojournalist has not only teamed up with Dead Rising 2 protagonist Chuck Greene in the Case West downloadable content, but now the company is actually making a Frank-centric version of the full game. He's covered wars, you know.

Capcom announced Dead Rising 2: Off the Record -- a "reimagining" of the Fortune City outbreak starring Frank -- at its annual Captivate event. The game brings back the photo opportunities of the first game, along with new combo weapons, environments, and enemies. Capcom also promises feature upgrades and network improvements to make online play smoother.

The remake is due on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 this fall. We presume as a retail release due to its size, but we've contacted Capcom for clarification and will update as more information becomes available.

If it's 20$, sold. No way in tits if it's a full price release.

Kinda wish I had known about this before, I enjoyed DR2 but I did miss some of the goofy photo stuff.

      Fuck yeah!

Loved Dead Rising 2, and Frank was an awesome character, so I'm definitely getting this.

Although is it just me or has Frank suddenly become Dan Aykroyd?

One wonders why they didn't just do this in the first place, or if it was planned all along.

Don't like the idea behind this...

Hope this isn't another cash-grab that catches on...
