Dead Rising 2: Off the Record brings back Frank
by Steve Watts, Apr 12, 2011 10:30am PDTCapcom loves Frank West, so much that the photojournalist has not only teamed up with Dead Rising 2 protagonist Chuck Greene in the Case West downloadable content, but now the company is actually making a Frank-centric version of the full game. He's covered wars, you know.
Capcom announced Dead Rising 2: Off the Record -- a "reimagining" of the Fortune City outbreak starring Frank -- at its annual Captivate event. The game brings back the photo opportunities of the first game, along with new combo weapons, environments, and enemies. Capcom also promises feature upgrades and network improvements to make online play smoother.
The remake is due on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 this fall. We presume as a retail release due to its size, but we've contacted Capcom for clarification and will update as more information becomes available.
