Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade confirmed, coming to PC and consoles

Capcom confirmed Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition at the Captivate event, to be available both as a boxed retail product and an upgrade for existing SSF4 players.

If the BBFC leak and premature trailer weren't enough proof for you, Capcom finally officially confirmed the Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition at its recent Captivate event.

The game will be available as both a stand-alone version for the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3, and a downloadable add-on. Capcom didn't mention a price for the full retail version, but owners of Super Street Fighter 4 can upgrade on June 7 for $14.99 (1200 MSP). The console boxed copy will follow on June 24 in Europe, June 28 in North America, and a PC version in July.

Yesterday, producer Yoshinori Ono hinted that PC fans wanting Super Street Fighter 4 would be pleased by today's announcement. The company has apparently skipped the Super version on the PC platform, but fans probably won't complain about getting access to the new and improved model.

        It's GfWL.

I just hope they don't have limited activations on it, like they did for the base game, and that they remove them from the base game. I'm near my limit due to failing hard disks. Losing the addon because the base game broke, when all I've done is reinstall it for hardware failures & system upgrades? They don't get to take my money then tell me I can't use what I paid for.

Games for Windows Live, unfortunately. Not surprising, given the original PC port is.

I'm done with limited activations on games. If they remove the activation limit (from the base game as well), I'll get it, in spite GfWL's loathesomeness.

It is confirmed to use SSA keys, which do not have activation limits, but are tied to one profile.

You'll have to buy the full AE version. There's no upgrade from vanilla. BTW, I have no complaints about this.

you like paying the amount for a full price game for some balance tweaks, a few new animations and a couple of characters? sure who doesn't like being ripped off? especially considering the reason i can't upgrade from super is that they never released it on PC. see there capcom go again, ripping off the people who actually buy their games and then wondering why it flops
