BioShock Infinite putting a fan in the game

Irrational is giving fans a chance to appear in BioShock Infinite -- well, a fan's name at least. The company has opened up the Name in the Game contest, inviting fans to submit their name and e-mail address. Like Sinclair Solutions was named after Irrational staff member Scott Sinclair, one fan will be immortalized as a Columbia business owner, building, or otherwise.

The submission period was set to end at midnight on April 13, but when the form broke temporarily, some fans replied with their names in the Comments section of the announcement. Now that the form is fixed, Irrational has extended the entry period by a day, so you have until 11:59 EST on Thursday to submit your name for a chance to join Columbia's citizens.

BioShock Infinite is due in 2012 for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
