[Update 11:40] Activision PR has responded to our inquiry: "No comment at this time. We'll loop you guys in when we have something."

[Original Story] An advertisement from an Australian retailer has leaked the next bit of downloadable content for Call of Duty: Black Ops, VG247 reports. Titled "Escalation," the pack includes five maps. The flyer teases them as: "Seize the Zoo," "Take the Hotel," "Secure the Convoy," "Raid the Stockpile," and "Survive Call of the Dead."

Like First Strike, Escalation will be a timed exclusive on the Xbox 360 as part of Activision's deal with Microsoft, with PC and PlayStation 3 versions coming afterwards. The flyer stakes the date as May 3, 2011, but since it comes from an Australian retailer we could see different release dates in the U.S. and Europe.

We've contacted Activision for official word on the DLC, and will update as more information becomes available.

Wow, way to milk retards. Release $10-15 DLC every 2 months. I really wish CoD would either just die or actually do something new.

Senator Fraybro, time traveling communazi's have stolen the president's daughter. Do you know any bro's bad enough for chronospherization to launch a covert war against the papal regime of 1774, to destroy their first prototypes of time travel?!?!11 *EXPLOSION*

How is it milking retards? The content is completely optional. If you don't think it's worth it you don't have to buy it, and the value of your original game does not change.

this isn't milking, this is adding new content to their popular online shooter. new maps are a good thing.

"We'll loop you guys in"?!?!? Will they be outside the box, with synergy, in terms of lateral thinking?

"We plan to open the game up for modding sometime post-launch. We do not know yet to what extent you will be able to mod the game. There are some purely technical issues related to engine and internal tool enhancements that do not easily fit the modtools paradigm. We have looked at it close enough to see that it is non-trivial and we will have to pick it up again post-launch." Cesar Statsny, Treyarch, August 24, 2010 ( http://www.shacknews.com/article/65286/ ).

Over 4 months after release, still no word on this, only two $15 map packs, same as Infinity Ward delivered. I am not impressed.
