What are you playing: In Flight

Don't look now but games are attacking from all sides... some in 3D! Check out what the staff at Shacknews is playing and let us know what you're up to this weekend...

By the time you're reading this, I'm going to be on a plane back to Canada. After a long wait at the airport, getting a Social Security number, procuring a bank account, and signing a one-year lease on a new apartment... I'm exhausted!

Now it's time to go back to the "motherland" and pack up my stuff and get it shipped out to my new home in California. Good thing the flight back to Toronto is a long one, because I have some Nintendo 3DS games to review this weekend!

Here's what the Shack staff is up to this weekend. What are you playing?

Yakuza 4! It's so awesome. Pretty sure it's my favorite yet.

So totally worth the effort in getting it running. That game is so. damned. good.

Figured, I played through 1 and loved it, reminded me of Shenmue in some ways.

I'm playing Just Cause 2 again. It's a blast! The restrictive level design of Crysis 2 drove me back to it.

Homefront multiplayer, Tiny Wings, and Plants vs Zombies for me this weekend.

I'm wearing out Homefront multi, Shift2 (which could have been called Known Shippable due to being buggy), and Crysis 2 multi (which has as bad a host advantage as Gears 2 did). Ready to start up Shogun 2 later on.

I rented Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, and it's pretty darn fun so far. The combat isn't anything amazing and the platforming is pretty simple, but the story and the teamwork abilities are cool.

I was very impressed with that game. Even with its flaws (you mentioned combat, and I agree), the game was a different and cool experience

Played some DA:O this weekend. I almost quit at one point because the combat stressed me out. I think I'm finally getting a handle on it and really am starting to enjoy the combat.
