Yesterday, the recently downsized team at Kaos announced a new title update for the Xbox 360 version of its recently released shooter Homefront was available. The title update specifically addresses "all 'Profile Freeze' issues" gamers have experienced since the game's launch. According to the blog post announcing the update, the developer is "hard at work on further improvements" that players will see down the line.

The blog post also took a moment to tease upcoming add-on content for the game, promising "a full-time team" at Kaos is dedicated to both the technical side of the game as well as "development of a wide range of exciting DLC."

The post also notes the dev is not ready to talk about the DLC yet. You know, except the part where they told you know the DLC was happening, that it's exciting, and that the content covers a wide range, they totally can't talk about it.

Xav de Matos was previously a games journalist creating content at Shacknews.

Maybe the DLC is the other half of the single player campaign.

Really? For the quality of the source material, I'm thinking the amount of content the SP was was appropriate. ;)

What I mean is they put together a good setting and pretty good gameplay elements, and then they just didn't utilize them to their potential. It's like they said "ok we'll make a few fps levels, one car sequence, one helicopter sequence", etc and called it a day.

Also, having to wait for NPC characters to do their thing before you can interact with the world :(

Who would be dumb enough to buy this DLC? Kaos is wasting money making DLC for this game, nobodies even going to remember the game it when it comes out...

Yeah, the SP campaign was just... so disappointing. Maybe the DLC will be a ton more SP campaign... The MP was ok with that battle commander... i watched my brother playing it and it seemed pretty fun.

The MP is pretty good, the SP was a total let down.

i wouldnt say that MP is pretty good, it's good, they still need to improve the health, it's like you're playing on super hardcore mode

        I agree.

DLC is meant to be 'added value', but this is a concept that only really works if the original game was good value to begin with. Now clearly the DLC will be for multiplayer only so it if you bought Homefront on the promise of an amazing single player experience then chances are you aren't happy with what you paid for, making the prospect of DLC very unappealing, and I don't know if this has been a runaway smash hit in the multiplayer arena either...

But do the systems still have a hard time finding matches? I got rid of my copy since getting into a match took close to 30 minutes on average.
