          That's a huge part of their fanbase, but there are a lot of people that buy that game for the SP and I would wager everyone who plays the MP plays the SP as well and generally enjoys it and finds it a valuable part of the game. DICE can either position themselves as the MP franchise, or they can try to compete with CoD directly. If CoD didn't get increased sales from SP, you can bet that Activision would cut it back or fade it out entirely.
