Konami denies Hudson cancellation rumors [Updated]
by Steve Watts, Mar 23, 2011 9:45am PDT[Update 11:30 a.m.] Wired reports that Konami has said the projects are not officially canceled. "If (the announcement) didn’t come from us, it's not true," said a spokesperson. "We have not distributed any official list of Hudson products yet."
[Original Story] Hudson's line-up of 3DS games may have been canceled, according to Andriasang. The latest issue of Famitsu reportedly revealed the cancellations of the company's 3DS line-up: Omega Five, Bonk, and Bomberman.
This news comes as Konami is preparing to finalize its full acquisition of the Hudson Group on April 1. The deal includes ownership of Hudson's intellectual property and development teams. We recently heard that Hudson Entertainment, the American arm of Hudson Soft, was closing down.
Shacknews has contacted Hudson regarding the report, and we'll update if more information becomes available.
