Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers sequel announced
A sequel to the collectible card game's video game adaptation is headed to PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this summer.
A sequel to Stainless Games' Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers, a fine downloadable adaptation of the collectible card game, has been announced for a summer release by creator and publisher Wizards of the Coast.
Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012, as it's called, will be released for download on PC via Steam, Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation 3. It'll bring new decks, puzzle challenges and Planeswalkers to beat, along with a new multiplayer mode named Archenemy. The mode, originally created for the cardboard edition, sees up to three players working together to take down a powerful AI opponent.
No price has been given yet, though for reference the original costs $10 on Steam, XBLA and PS3.
The announcement also brought word that the Xbox Live Arcade edition of Duels of the Planeswalkers alone sold an impressive 500,000 units.
