Pokemon White/Black set series sales records

Pokemon Black and White sold over 1 million combined units in their first day, outstripping the previous record set by Diamond and Pearl in 2007...

The latest Pokemon incarnations, Black and White, have broken the previous series sales record, according to Nintendo. The pair sold a combined 1.08 million units on launch day, March 6, marking them the new kings of critter-cockfighting sales.

The previous record of a paltry 780,000 had been set by Diamond and Pearl in 2007. The higher figures for Black and White make sense, given that it doles out all new Pokemon for the main quest instead of recycling existing ones, and the new entries add a handful of new features like triple and rotation battles.

I'm always tempted to get back into Pokemon because of the incredibly nostalgic memory of Pokemon Yellow.

Is it still the same as Red/Blue/Yellow where it's easy to get pretty lost without something like a strategy guide? I remember really struggling as a kid before I got mine.

Gold/Silver were even worse about it, I think it got better after they moved to the GBA though.

Yes, with some new mechanics and dungeons that doesn't radically change the game.

Are there any stats for the individual colours?

I'm waiting for my 3DS to get this. Perhaps others are as well.
