As part of its 20th anniversary celebrations, much-loved developer Blizzard Entertainment has released a lengthy retrospective documentary delving into, and retelling, its history.

The 48-minute video spans from Blizzard's beginnings as Silicon & Synapse, formed in 1991 by a handful of UCLA graduates, through to the present day, when it's known and loved for series including StarCraft, Diablo and Warcraft. Heaps of Blizzard luminaries appear, offering opinions and anecdotes about the company whose games we so adore.

For Blizzard fans, it's lovely to watch.

I wonder if WoW will still be alive and well during their 30th anniversary. Anyways, Kudos to Blizzard for all the fun times these past 20 years.

It'll be alive in the same sense Everquest is. They'll just leave it on life support for ages.

Samwise Didier seems like a hoot to be around. I bet he's been quite influential over the years. But I almost can't believe how much cash they got to borrow from their parents. I wouldn't get $1000. Bob and Jan Davidson seem like really good people, too, just the kind they needed early on in their business. Experienced business guys but with respect for skills in areas other than their own, even early 90's gaming.

LoL look at that release schedule. Everyone gives Blizzard shit for "taking forever" to make games, but they pretty much release one thing a year up until WoW. Then you can see where the priority was.
