Was it really necessary for me to scroll down the equivalent of ~10 pages to read this entire list of games? Can't you just put small thumbnails on the side of the text and not in line with the text instead of putting close to high def pictures that each take up about half of my monitor's vertical space? Thanks.

I happen to like it the way it is. Only took 3 flicks on my mouse wheel to see it all.

Ease of use and a pleasing layout run counter to NuShack's forward-thinking design philosophy. Welcome to Web 3.0.

I thought I'd try something different, now that I can. It's as new to me as it is to you, I'm still messing with different things.

        Apparently, this thing is unpopular!

I prefer the big pictures. I'd rather be able to see what's in the screenshot at a glance with at least some detail.

As a long distance scroller, I approve of the change. If I could only get multiple screenshots per title, then I'd be in heaven. In fact I'm putting on my Vibram One Finger gloves and browsing to Google Image Search right now for some InfiniScroll!

I really want this, but I'd much rather have it on steam. I feel stupid for even saying this.

40 dollars on steam, 20 dollars somewhere else, and despite really wanting it, I think I'm going to pass...

Get Nations, if you don't have them already - it's free and still a lot of fun. You can wait for another Steam sale to get United Forever.

Still waiting for a shooter that offers something akin to R6 Vegas' character customization.

I think Brink might be the next game to offer that type of thing, at least from what I've seen. I agree, the R6 Vegas games had some cool character customizations and upgrades. Another series that was kinda like that was the Army of Two games. Granted, they are only on consoles but they were fun for what they were, especially when played in coop mode.

I agree sir! We've gone way too long without character customization in FPS games. I want to be able to quickly identify individual friends and enemies at a glance. It makes grudges more personal, and coordination with your buddies easier. I honestly can't believe we've been playing serious FPS games for 15+ years and we're just now implementing character customization beyond texture skins.

I think it would have better to just have the list in a left column, with the thumbnails in a column to the right.

Does anyone else get annoyed when you buy a game and within the year it's discounted by 50%?

      • reply
        March 5, 2011 6:24 AM

Not really. I know prices will go down eventually, but then again, I rarely buy new anyway.

Kind of, but you always have a choice: buy early, or wait. For me, it's all about how much I'm looking forward to a game. I'll scoop up Batman: Arkham City the day it's released even though I know it'll be half of sometime next year, because I don't want to wait until next year to play it. But if there's a game I'm interested in, yet not $50-$60 worth of interest, I'll let it simmer until a sale pops up.
