After shuffling its feet for a while, publisher EA has revealed that the promised Crysis 2 multiplayer demo for PlayStation 3 will finally arrive on March 15, a week before the game's launch.

The demo, which was released for PC and Xbox 360 on March 1, contains two maps and two modes from the multiplayer side of Crytek's shooter. You can grab the PC demo here at Shacknews, and the Gold-exclusive Xbox 360 demo from the Xbox Live Marketplace.

EA also released a new trailer showing off the demo:

Great! Maybe I can try the demo then, because I sure as heck can't play the PC demo. Can't even log in, for crying out loud.

i eventually had to use the "create account" and use my wife's email. both my previous gamespy accounts wouldn't work and my two main emails were attached to them, so wouldn't work either. Giant pain in the ass.

I had to create a new account as well, same issues. None of my gamespy accounts would work, nor my mycrysis login. And I couldn't use any of those names or emails as they're already in use. AWESOME WORK, Crytek/EA.

I'm also very, very impressed with their incredibly broken website. Log in... get logged out when you move to another page. Try a different web browser with security turned off, and clear cache. Same thing.

The constant SQL and Drupal error pages are lovely as well.

And being asked for your old password to change your password after using the "forgot password" reset option is just... BRILLIANT.

Really, just an extremely polished and well maintained backend and website.

Oh, and not being able to report website bugs because the website logs me out whenever I try to use the website interface for that is also brilliant. And I can't log back in because I don't know the password on the mycrysis account...

            Just... Wow.
