Battlefield 3 gameplay trailer features a quick glimpse at war
by Alice O'Connor, Feb 23, 2011 7:00am PSTHaving unveiled Battlefield 3 with a cinematic trailer and a scant few details, developer DICE today issued the first in-game trailer for the game known to Shackers as 'JetProne64,' giving a teasingly pleasing look at the new engine, Frostbite 2, in action.
DICE also announced that pre-ordering BF3 will net you the 'Back to Karkand' "digital expansion pack" for free, which will contain re-imaginings of four classic Battlefield 2 maps plus BF2 weapons and vehicles, and more. One presumes it'll be sold separately after launch. While word of this bonus had leaked out, it was never confirmed.
Battlefield 3 is due out this fall for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, published by EA. Apparently, DICE is focusing on the PC edition first. Beta access has been promised to those who bought the Limited Edition of DICE and Danger Close's Medal of Honor.

Also as far as PC to console ports, they definitely work better then the other way around. Most console to PC ports are just down right disappointing. At least DICE/EA is starting to capitalize on the PC gaming market. THQ's already seems intent on it with the PC version of Homefront with the various features including LAN play. If douche bags like those guys with IW/Activition wont do it, at least there are companies who are willing to.
