Stopping M-Rated Game Sales

Several US senators have met with representatives of large chains such as Kmart, Best Buy and Wal-Mart to stop selling M-rated games, something most of those companies aren't too keen on since they are legal and parents should decide whether their kids can play them.

Several U.S. senators and Illinois Attorney General Jim Ryan on Wednesday urged major retail chains to stop selling violent video games to children. [snip] Earlier this month, Montgomery Ward and Sears Roebuck and Co. agreed to stop selling ``M''-rated games [snip]  ..a Kmart spokesman, ``We're a family-based store, so we want to keep family-based merchandise in the store,'' Buscemi said. ``However, they're not an illegal product, so it's a two-sided issue.''

    Talking about being piss off, I am. I just played with the company at QZar and I must say that:

    -It sucks since nobody at the end care about getting shot.
    -Some lamers just place their guns next to the front detector.

    Once, I almost went in a fight after trying for 15 seconds to try to aim at the guy front detector. Even throught we were at at really at close contact, I never shoot him because he kept on pushing my gun away and even grabbed my gun. Jezzz... what an ashole. Even better he told his friend I was the bad guy. What a fucking jerk!

    Jezzz... I think I will have to leave work fairly early to get rid of my hate or I am just going to blow up and email the entire company how he is an ashole and be fired for saying that.

    Yah know I have a REALLY hard time feeling any thing even close to sympathy for inmates in any federal jail... (I'm from Canada and our prisons are almost as lax as I have heard American ones are) I feel that in prison you should have 4 wall and a roof. 3 meals a day, Some education and then go and stamp plates or something just as tedious. Prison is supposed to be a *Punishment*, not some resort... I also feel those in prison should lose a good chunk o thier rights. No vote, no right to internet, tv, and lastly no voice in public. They have been segregated on account of being unsafe to society. Now don't get me wrong. Religion, person thought, and racial equality (not a real issue in Canada but hey) Are all important no matter what, But other than that Rot away my friend. You did the crime, now suffer thru the time.

    That's right folks! You can buy rifles and ammunition, but you can't buy violent videogames... You can buy movies with blood, gore, and violence, but you can't get a rap album [not a SINGLE one] with curse words (you CAN, however, buy Rock albums with curse words in them at Wal-Mart...A case for the NAACP? Check, if you want: Filter curses several times on their newest album; I bought it, unedited, from Walmart)...And here's a question: what about violent *VIDEOGAMES*? (as opposed to PC games)...Strange they haven't attacked Metal Gear, Goldeneye, etc...Is that because Nintendo, Sega, and Sony *AIN'T GONNA TAKE THAT SHIT FROM THE US Gov't*? And take it waaaaaaaaay back: what about violent ARCADE GAMES? These people are insane if they think the problem stems from *games*...These kids see no future for themselves; they witness their parents, teachers, government officials, sports heros, movie/musical stars, etc, get away with murder [literally], carry guns on planes, set hotel rooms on fire, steal $200 Billion (anyone found that S&L money that the Bush kid stole?), etc...*WHY* should the kids behave any differently from the society they were raised in - why do you think the teen suicide rate is so high? And I gotta say it - a lot of ya'll gonna be pissed - it's white kids they're concerned with [and they're the ones shooting up schools]...Like the gov't gives a damn what black kids do to each other; we do go off, and take out an individual, or a group, but if we hit someone else, it's by accident, not that we wanted to randomly kill someone (do *NOT* point to Colin Ferguson at this point - he's just friggin' insane, or possessed )...
    Anyway, that's enough crap off my chest for now...Except:
    Compare the number of people killed "by" violent games to the number of people killed by....oh, I dunno...by riding their school bus to school, and getting hit by a train....The numbers are comparable - should we outlaw trains or school busses first? (Or Alcohol, or Cigarettes, or Automobiles, or Kitchen knives, or baseball bats...Truly, what is the MOST likely method a teen is likely to kill another teen (accident or purpose)? It's gonna be drunk driving...Fix what's broken in the mainstream, before you go after niche products...
