        To help this, they should write the date of posts in the format
        
        "X hours ago"
        
        instead of
        
        "Feb 22, 2011 12:04pm CST".
        
        And maybe also add some emphasis on the date when it's a few minutes from expiring.

        maybe the thread should initially be marked as such: \8=================-=====D/ and the cockboat should progressively shrink until it reaches the size of \8=D/ which is when we'll know there's only one hour left in this thread.
