Morning Discussion

By Alice O'Connor, Feb 16, 2011 5:00am PST Hullo, Internet. You've caught me in the middle of panicking about losing everything on my hard drive, after a spot of repartitioning went pear-shaped. All my documents, my pictures, not to mention all my saved games and settings. It's a wee bit frustrating. I've had no luck with basic file recovery programs so I'll have to go deeper with one of those super mega fancy turbo-deep tools. Internet, learn a lesson from me: back up your files.

All this must wait until later, though. I'm off to see a man about a video game, so I'll leave you in the capable hands of the rest of the Shacknews news newsShack newsteam.

  • This seems to get asked a lot, but now it's my turn!

I want to start a game with my gf. She hasn't played much since things like bubble bobble, and old arcade platformers, which she crushes me at. I'd like it to be something we can play for a long time, level up, etc.

Available systems are xbox 360, computer and emulators. I've beaten pretty much every SNES RPG so those are out. I've heard zombies ate my neighbors and goof troop are possibilities, but I've never played then. I've beaten Castle Crashers and Viva Piñata, so those are also out.

I've done a little bit of research but I really can't find a good game for us. I though about doing a season of NBA Hangtime and seeing if it was fun. I don't know, anyone have any ideas?
