Why is Crysis 2 set in New York City, and why's it overgrown, ruined and filled with hostile troops anyway? Hopefully this new trailer focusing on the story in CryTek's shooter sequel will clear up a few questions for you, and be pleasing to your eyes t'boot.

Crysis 2 is slated to launch for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on March 22, published by EA. A multiplayer demo is due to be released on PC some time before then, though hopefully it'll be in better shape than the now-expired Xbox 360 demo was at first.

I really hope that most of that expository dialogue was recorded just for that trailer, because its going to be pretty difficult to make it sound plausible in game. Its taking a lot of willpower to avoid downloading the beta, so I hope it pays off. Everything I've seen is fantastic.
