Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Costume Pack DLC Announced

10
For those who have already picked up Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds, which launches today, but are already bemoaning the absence of their favourite outfits, Capcom has announced its first downloadable content costume pack.

The costume pack will add new alternate outfits including a Jack Kirby-style Thor, the dastardly Norman Osborn's 'Iron Patriot' suit of Iron Man armour, Ryu in his lurid original Street Fighter outfit, Chris Redfield's S.T.A.R.S. uniform and more. It'll be released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on March 1, priced at $5 (400 Microsoft Points).

March 1 is also when the 'Shadow Mode' DLC will be released. The promised release of Jill Valentine and Shumna-Gorath as downloadable content will happen some time after then; the pair are presently available only with the Special Edition.

Now I'm hoping this is a sign that more characters, costumes, and game modes will come out. According to most of the reviews the gameplay is fantastic, but it has very few game modes to choose from. Hopefully Capcom won't go the Street Fighter 4 route and make a "Marvel Vs Capcom 3 Ultimate" edition and squeeze more money out of everyone.

Why would they not, when it worked?

I cross my fingers for Capcom to release more unlockable characters on the Marvel vs Capcom 3 DLC.
