Serious Sam 3 Due This Summer
by Alice O'Connor, Feb 14, 2011 6:00am PSTHaving plainly not made the 2010 launch developer Croteam once hoped for, Serious Sam 3 is now due to be released in summer 2011, CEO Roman Ribaric has said.
"Just a quick note to let all Serious Sam fans know that Serious Sam 3: BFE is coming this summer 2011," Ribaric wrote, also promising an official announcement "soon."
There's still very little known about the next entry in the trigger-happy shooter series. While platforms have not yet been confirmed, PC is a given and Xbox 360 looks inevitable too. The recent revamps of the first two games, Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter and Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter, were built upon the same engine as Serious Sam 3 and released on both platforms.
