The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Concept Art and Screens Feature a Hostile Tundra

15
Bethesda has released new sets of chilly concept art and screens developed for its upcoming role-playing adventure The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Though both batches have seen release elsewhere--the screens from Game Informer's cover story and the art in OXM--we're now able to see the direction of the game in glorious, higher resolution.

The concept art features a distinctively Nordic theme, with wild animals and a wing-tipped helmeted hero. The screens offer up the same below-zero hope that "winter coat armor" is a planned DLC addition. According to the Bethesda Blog, the concept pieces were developed by in-house artists Adam Adamowicz and Ray Lederer.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim battles for your dollars at retail on November 11. The game, which features a new engine, will arrive on the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3.

I hear the Fighters Guild is a good way to make some money if you've got the stones for it.

At least they're moving the right direction.

        In Daggerfall it was all:
        Halt!
        Halt!
        Halt!
        Halt!
        Halt!
        Halt!
        Halt!
        Halt!
        Halt!
        Halt!
        Halt!
        Halt!
