Mortal Kombat and MK: Annihilation Blu-Ray Release Includes Bonus Costume Code for Upcoming Reboot
by Xav de Matos, Feb 07, 2011 4:00pm PSTWith Mortal Kombat's M-rated reboot inching closer to release, it seems the classic films based in the rich narrative netherworld crafted by Ed Boon and Co. are getting in on the promotional action.
According to Blu-Ray.com [via Joystiq], the Blu-Ray release of the Mortal Kombat film and its sequel Mortal Kombat: Annihilation will offer buyers a "free exclusive Jade character costume" when the movies launch on April 19. Jade was recently revealed as a roster addition alongside MK-veteran Goro.
The films are being sold separately or as a set, but it appears each include the same bonus character costume, exclusively on the PS3.
Also slated to hit on April 19? Mortal Kombat for the Xbox 360 and PS3 from the newly-formed NetherRealm Studios.
