Shack PSA: Weekend PC Digital Deals and Discounts

21
Friday's here and that can mean only one thing--time for you to binge on discounted, digitally-distributed PC games, throwing away that hateful, foul, tainted money you earned by selling your soul to The Man and toiling all week. Don't worry, I'm certain this weekend's fantastic selection of deals will be the one to make you feel whole again.

Publisher THQ has a stonking offer going on, with 75% off games including Darksiders, Metro 2033 and the Dawn of War series--letting you get up to speed before Dawn of War II - Retribution hits next month. Many can be added to Steam, too.

Elsewhere, Steam's offering King Arthur - The Role-playing Wargame for only $2.99, with a huge 85% discount. Good Old Games has savings on Apogee titles including Duke Nukem 3D. Impulse is offering Blood Bowl Legendary Edition for $10. Get Games has top savings on indie games including VVVVVV and Machinarium.

And that's just the tip of the bargain iceberg. More below.

gah, i really wanted to get chaos rising b4 retribution comes out so i can play it co-op with my mate. but.....

i cba to fill in all those details lol. i bet steam doesnt have it on sale b4 release as well lol.

also i just noticed on the thq site the extended download will allow you to re download it for two years....but without it i guess if it gets wiped your fucked?? seems a bit harsh to me even if it is 4 pounds or something.

    hmm i shall ponder this.

If you buy it through THQ you'll receive a key that you can plug in to steam, so the limited download service is unimportant.

DoW2 games are Steamworks, so you just stick the CD key in Steam and download it whenever you want, no need to pay for the extended download thing. Same with Metro 2033 (get it if you haven't yet!).

I did the same thing, only to end up with US only. Went to the UK site, which had no sale. Great. Thank you for nothing.
