Morning Discussion
by Alice O'Connor, Feb 02, 2011 5:00am PSTAs much as I enjoy the GOMtv StarCraft league, I'm struggling to keep up with it all. With a short team tournament beginning on Monday, I still haven't finished the last season of the main league. Before that, Code A and Code S games had been going for a fortnight before I managed to finish Season 3. It's all jolly nice but there's just so much of it.
I imagine this is one of the reasons sports fans stick to following a single team. I can't explain the other reasons because they'll get all shirty with me if anyone reads this post out loud for them. Do you see what I am implying? It's quite hilarious, is it not? I knew you would agree, imaginary reader I created purely to agree with me. You always do, my dearest friend. I love you. Honestly though, please don't read this out to any sports fans.

So I was given a job offer today for a software developer position. I basically told them that I need a week before I make a decision because I'm interviewing with another company tomorrow night for a game design internship (I know, lets all laugh). Obviously, I want to see how that pans out.
They came back to me later in the day and said I have till 5pm tomorrow to make a decision. They pulled the same exact maneuver with a classmate of mine that use to work there when he was given an offer. I replied back that I simply can't make a decision until I interview with this other company.
Do you think I approached this right? If given the game design internship, I'd most likely accept that (I don't care if you agree or not, my career, my decisions). But I'd hate to lose both offers completely.
