QuakeCon 2011 Dates Announced; Event Runs from August 4 to August 7, 2011
by Xav de Matos, Jan 28, 2011 7:45am PSTid Software's annual event of fragging and sharing pornography, QuakeCon, has been dated for 2011. QuakeCon 2011 will run from August 4 until August 7, 2011, id's fellow ZeniMax Media subsidiary Bethesda Softworks has announced.
QuakeCon will once again invite a horde of gamers to the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas.
Although QuakeCon is famous for its huge BYOC (bring your own computer) event and LAN parties, we're holding out hope that id Software uses the event to show off Doom 4.
The next installment of the legendary franchise was expected to be featured at QuakeCon 2010 but was held back so the developer could put more work into it before it was revealed. For a breakdown of last year's event, make sure to check out our QuakeCon 2010 tag hub.
Tickets for the event are not yet available, nor has the schedule of events been revealed. Shacknews will update you as that information is provided.
